He gained the Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Newcastle University, 2006 – the only student in his year to be awarded a merit.
Ben treats patients with dental phobia using IV and inhalation sedation.
He is a training mentor for the Dental Sedation Training Group, and is also member of the Society for Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD).
Ben has significant experience in the placement and restoration of Ankylos dental implants following a 12 month training programme in 2004. He is an active member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) and facilitates the 18 Dental implant study club.
Ben is a Denplan accredited dentist and accepts referrals for oral surgery, implantology and treatment under sedation. He is registered with the General Dental Council (74440).
He is a keen triathlete in his spare time.

In 2004 she trained at The Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, where she gained the Licentiate in Dental Homeopathy.
She is a member of the Facility of Homeopathy and the British Dental Homeopathic Association. She is a member of the Society for Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and treats patients under sedation.
She passed the Tipton Training Advanced Restorative dentistry post-graduate exam in 2012 and is a Six Month Smiles (cosmetic braces) accredited provider, having completed level 1 and 2 professional courses in 2012 and 2013. She has successfully completed the Nine Day Core of Knowledge Orthodontic course in 2017 and Temporary Anchorage Devices course in association with orthodontic practice.
She is registered with the General Dental Council (74620).
Ursula is a runner and gymnast.

After completing a year of Vocational Training she spent over 20 years in general practice. Carmel has also worked in the Community Dental Service in the Western Trust where she enjoyed treating anxious children.
Having just completed an Advanced course in Aesthetic and Cosmetic dentistry, she is currently working towards her certificate in restorative dentistry with the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry. She passed the Tipton Training Advanced Restorative dentistry post-graduate exam in 2012. She has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry.

Joanne completed her degree in 2009 from Queens University. Following this she undertook an intensive vocational training year before joining the 18 Dental team.Read More / Hide
She was awarded the Dentsply Presentation Case of the Year at final examination and gained a Distinction in the Practice of Dentistry QUB. Joanne is registered with the General Dental Council (176517)
She has a particular interest in restorative dentistry and enjoys baking and running at the weekends.
Heather gained her degree in Dental Hygiene (QUB) in 2010. She began her career in dental nursing, qualifying in 2003. She worked mainly in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, implants and endodontics.
She holds the certificate of Sedation for dental nurses and enjoys travelling, caravanning and camping.
As practice manager Laura is responsible for the organisational running of 18 Dental. She brings with her an extensive experience in both the retail and banking sector as well as a background in customer service. Laura gained the certificate in Dental Practice Management in 2012. She is currently undertaking The Advanced Practice Management course in leadership and management.
